Avery® Label Maker
How to print Avery® labels without merge data
Create Avery labels fast. Build a label with your own image and text directly in Google Docs™ — no data merge required.
Install Add-OnWorks withGoogle Docs
- 1
Open an empty Google Docs™ document. Press "Extensions" > "Avery Label Maker" > "Create Labels".
- 2
Use the search bar to find the label template of your choice.
- 3
Add your image and text directly to the label:
- To add an image to your labels, start by changing the font to "1". This helps maximize the image size while staying within the cell boundaries.
- Click "Insert" > "Table" > "2x1". This will add a table inside the cell and make formatting much easier and cleaner.
- Click the image icon to insert an image in the table. The uploaded image may increase the size of the cell. You must resize the image until the cell is back to its original size. The document will not be formatted correctly if the cell size is too large (or small).
- Minimize (or maximize) the table column with the image to your desired width.
- If you want to center your text in the label vertically, right click on the table column that does not contain the image. Click "Table properties" > "Cell" > "Cell vertical alignment" > "Middle".
- Change the font size back to your desired size.
- Add text and style as desired.
- Highlight both the text and image and click the table borders icon. Click "0pt" to remove the border around the table you inserted inside the label.
- Click "Create labels".
- 4
Click "File" > "Print". Set Margin to "None" and scale to 100%. Print the labels with your desired printer.
Troubleshooting
If your labels overflow onto the next page or lose alignment, your first label likely contains too much content. This will throw off the entire document. To fix this: reduce empty space, decrease font size, or remove content until everything fits within a single label.
